TAIWAN! - part 1
after that, we went for lunch. then went to visit this factory that manufactures marble tiles, jade and all kinds of stone. that's made of marble. that's jade. remember jade allow light to pass through. so be careful. dun be cheated by mean jade dealers.
DAY 1: SINGAPORE -> TAIPEI
look at the 1st one. yes. that flight. haha. :D
reached at around 12pm there. btw there's no time difference. yah. met our wonderful tour guide. 老李! LOL. then went to 深坑豆腐街.
and i ate 炸臭豆腐 there. only my grandma and i ate lor. both of us had to finish 1 whole box. cos the rest couldn't stand the smell. we ate 鸵鸟肉串, 西猪肉串, 太阳饼 and 大饼 too. :D
went to 台北101购物中心after that. it's the tallest building in the world now. 101 storeys above ground and 5 storeys below ground. ate 豆花 there. and guess wad? i saw mrs koh there. OMG! lol. it became dark at around 5pm lor. like the 7pm plus in singapore lor.
then went to cosmos hotel. and we had to get dinner ourselves. ate at 新世界购物中心．then went back to hotel. end of day 1!
DAY 2: TAIPEI -> HUALIEN
after breakfast, went to 国力台湾民主纪念堂 (中证纪念堂). if we have one day later, dun think we can even go inside lor. cos they closed the place on wednesday. politics lah. and they changed the "大中至正" to "自由广场" right after we visited that place.
then went to 野柳 geopark. btw that's the pacific ocean. haha. :D then the Queen's Head Rock, Fairy Shoe and the Elephant Rock! haha. cool right? the power of erosion and weathering!
then went to 九份 after that. ate lunch there. 香菇贡丸面 at 老面店. nice leh. and it was drizzling then. quite cold lor. then went to 7-eleven. bought yam chips there. after that took a long bus ride to hualien. it was travelling on the mountain paths. so got a bit of motion sickness. then dinner at a restaurant there.
then went to 花莲阿美文化村. watched dance performances by the a-mei people there. they got very good voices lor.
after that went to union hotel. end of day 2!
DAY 3: HUALIEN -> TAITUNG
after breakfast, went to this place that sells chinese medicine. short intro to 灵芝 and 鹿胎 by this retired man.
and we bought 灵芝 there. it's good for liver.
then went to 太鲁阁国家公园. MARBLE!

next was 砂卡礑步道. 
see. blue water. cos it flowed out from the marble mountains.
then next was 长春祠. it's a place where they remember those people who sacrificed their lives when building the central highway.
taiwan jade. it feels cool to touch. cool. haha. :D 
then after that, we took a long bus ride to taitung. 红叶温泉! only my sisters and i went into the hot springs. around 40 degrees plus. felt really hot at 1st. but after a while, when u got used to the temperture, it was like quite relaxing. haha. so fun lor. :)
we went to master bear resort next. we had 1 bungalow all to ourselves. it's a nice place, despite the strong smell of mosquito coil thingy. then we went for dinner. and the dinner was nice lor. the nicest i have eaten throughout the whole trip. cos i wasn't that use to the fermented food there. then went for the resort activities there. played bingo. but different from the one we played here. but anyway, we won 13 bears. as in soaps in the shape of teddy bears. haha. with a lavender scent. 13. and 13 is a nice no to the people there. yah. lucky no lor. then we got 放孔明灯.
and we watched tv until 12 midnight that day. haha. it was a very nice place. seriously. if only the chalets and resorts in singapore are lidat.. haha. ok! end of day 3!
shall write about days 4 to 7 in a new post. or else i'll have difficulty uploading the photos. :D
